Maylarch Extends Sponsorship Deal with U23 Sailor Cameron Tweedle

Following his recent success in retaining the British Travellers Trophy in the Olympic Heavyweight Finn class, Cameron Tweedle has extended his sponsorship deal with Eynsham based Maylarch Environmental. This will be the 4th year that the demolition and asbestos removal specialists have supported Cameron, and MD Simon Ward is delighted to be continuing this partnership, especially as this week it has been announced that Cameron has broken in to the World Sailing Finn Top 50, now being ranked at 48th.

“It’s been brilliant watching Cameron’s progress from being a 14 year with loads of potential, to being a full-time professional athlete, competing against the world’s best and pushing hard for an Olympic Squad place” said Simon. “When you watch the way he handles himself, both ashore and out in his boat, it’s easy to forget that he’s still just 18. The maturity, dedication and professionalism he shows fits perfectly with the aims of Maylarch as a company.”

For Cameron this continued support means that he can be fully prepared for next season, which will be his busiest ever. “I’m trying to be realistic in my short-term goals as I’m still learning my trade and building experience at international level” said Cameron. “Having the backing of Maylarch alongside my other sponsors Dash-CAE and the RAF Benevolent Fund will allow me to keep pushing towards Olympic Squad selection and winning medals for Great Britain.”

Cameron’s next event is the Olympic Classes Autumn Ranker in Weymouth over the 4th/5th November, followed by the final international event of the 2017 calendar at Palamos, Spain, the week before Christmas.
