Woodstock Harriers’ new signing Steven Naylor saw off defending champion Steve Kimber to land the Maylarch Eynsham 10k and Oxfordshire County Championship titles.

Naylor crossed the line in 33mins 16secs, 17 seconds ahead of Kimber (Windsor Slough & Eton) and in so doing helped Woodstock retain the Oxfordshire Grand Prix Series title.

Abingdon Amblers were the leading men’s team with four runners finishing in the top ten.

Paul Fernandez led them home in third, with Les Newell fourth, Simon Fisher seventh and Phil Egerton ninth.

They also claimed the county championship title, with Daniel Hamilton (13th) replacing Newell as the fourth to count.
