WOBA 2013 award ceremony at Heythrop Park
Last night was the 2013 WOBA award ceremony and Maylarch was finalist in the JSP Skills and Training category. The ceremony was held at the Heythrop Park Resort and Maylarch was competing against Data Plastics who specialises in the design and the manufacture of injection-moulded plastic parts and against last year winner Adventure Plus who helps young people and adults through outdoor adventures.
A lot of Oxfordshire Businesses were present at the ceremony and we’ve all had the surprise to be greeted by the prime minister himself David Cameron who made a speech about the role of small and medium private companies in the recovery of britain’s economy.
After a nice dinner and chat with people from Oxford Products and Energy My Way, it was time for the winner of each awards to be revealed. Nick Williamson and I were representing Maylarch and hoping for the best but unfortunately for us the award this year went to Data Plastics. So congratulations to them on their success, a special thank you to Hatti who entered Maylarch into this year award and also to the WOBA Team for their hard work in organising a great event.
