Another 3 year licence to undertake work with asbestos!

Earlier this month, we have received the visit from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) inspection team to assess the renewal of our asbestos licence. A full licence from the HSE means that a licensed company is able to undertake all work with Asbestos and Maylarch has held a full licence to work with Asbestos since 1999.

So this week, we are delighted to announce that the HSE has renewed Maylarch’s licence for another three years and this without any condition. We are very proud of this achievement which rewards our investment in our staff and the implementation of our Health and Safety policy throughout the company and its application by our entire staff.

The  Asbestos Licence Amendment, Assessment and Revocation Guide (ALAARG) details that ‘the HSE expects licence holders to meet exemplary standards and to demonstrate that they have a sound overall health and safety record, which shows wider health and safety compliance beyond asbestos legislation alone.

Following the announcement of our renewed licence, Nick Williamson, Managing Director of Maylarch commented: “This really is a specialist industry and one where Health and Safety considerations cannot be taken lightly. This is why we are very proud to have been given another unconditional three year licence as it highlights our constant attention to Health and Safety and we believe this is what gives our clients the confidence, that the service we provide will be not only be delivered on time and target but will never have a negative impact on their own image.
