No job is ever too small for Professionals!

Compared to bringing down a multi storey tower block, a domestic demolition job may appear to be a realistic challenge for a motivated individual. In truth though, even ‘small’ demolition jobs require a suitable level of specialist knowledge, skills and planning to avoid the risk of injuries, or worse, as demonstrated in the video below

Jack Weir had been commissioned to bring down a garage but ended up in hospital with one of his legs hanging from his body by only a strand of skin. The video clearly shows that none of the basic Health and Safety rules were followed as Mr Weir did not even wear a hard hat!

Luckily, after a six-hour reconstruction operation by Professor Chris Moran at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, Mr Weir has since made a good recovery and can even run five miles in one gym session.

If you are looking to demolish any part of a building, you should follow the guidance provided by the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and always use the services of a competent demolition contractor.
